Brief

Numéro Berlin booked TingTing Lai for the cover of issue #19, a beauty story with Armani Beauty, photographed by Antje Peters and styled by editor-in-chief Götz Offergeld. Her first cover. The day had to go smoothly for the magazine, and her own channels needed it too.

What I did

I was at Studio Chérie with TingTing from call time to wrap. I kept the day moving between hair, make-up, fittings and set, stayed close to the team at the capture station, and shot backstage from my POV for her Instagram and TikTok.

What happened

Numéro Berlin #19 came out with TingTing on the cover. Her cover post, “my first cover shoot ever”, passed 49K likes, and the editorial runs in the portfolios of Antje Peters and make-up artist Ruben Masoliver.

Why it worked

A first cover is a day a creator should be fully present for. With the logistics off her mind, TingTing could give the team her full attention, and the backstage from the day turned the cover into a story on her own channels, not just a repost.
