What is a brand community event?
An evening where customers, creators and the brand meet in person. It turns followers into regulars and gives creators something real to post about.
It is quieter than a launch and often more useful. I plan community events for brands whose audience already speaks for the product.
Paid, affiliate or both?
Paid formats fee creators for attendance or content. Affiliate formats share commission on sales. Combined, they align everyone with the outcome.
The model decides the guest list and the budget. A paid format needs fewer, carefully chosen creators. An affiliate format can open the room wider, because creators earn on what follows.
Who should be invited?
Customers first, creators second, plus a few partners and press. Each guest has a role on the night, whatever their follower count.
Customers bring credibility and creators bring reach. Press is optional and works when the format gives editors a reason to stay.
Where should the event take place?
Where your customers live. Berlin is my base, and I run events across DACH through my network of venues.
A customer in Hamburg will not travel to Berlin for an evening, so two smaller events in two cities often do more than one large one in the capital.
What this looked like for The Female Company.
For The Female Company, I ran a paid and affiliate community event. Creators were paid for their part and earned affiliate commission on what followed.
The event sat next to YouTube and TikTok collaborations I ran for the brand, planned as one programme. More than 50 guests came, and the affiliate model made the evening measurable in sales. I recommend this setup to any brand whose customers already talk about it.
